Tip Toe Through Hell
Our 2004
Easter Jeep Safari trip began with a bang opening with none other than Tip Toe
Through Hell… It’s the
same trail as Hells Revenge only avoiding Mickeys Hot tub and Tip over
challenge. This trail gets your
attention right away! Before even
airing our tires down, the initial climb is a very steep and narrow fin with
huge drop offs on either side. At
street pressure things get interesting very quickly on slickrock!
The only problem here was that Bo didn’t realize one of his front hubs
was unlocked. This forced him to
back down the narrow fin after trying to climb it in two-wheel drive!
That was enough to make Deana nervous about this whole Moab thing!
This trail has several fun challenges throughout.
There are a couple of long steep drops, and loose rubble making for and
awesome day of wheeling! The only
minor setback was Tracy broke a bead on one of her tires on the very last
obstacle. With some quick work with
a hi-lift jack and Bo’s compressed air, she was up and running again without
even breaking out the spare tire! This
trail alone is worth the trip to Moab! Cheers,
Christopher…
