Memorial Weekend 2004

Deciding where to hold our annual Memorial trip this year was a bit of a challenge.  Camping in the area of the China Wall trail was definitely a consideration.  We decided to camp near Twin Cones area again this year due to its central location.  Our trip began with members arriving Friday throughout the day, the remainder of the group joined up on Saturday.  We had a great run up twin cones on Saturday.  The only casualty to speak of was a shredded tire on a 4-runner as a result of a hungry rock.  Unfortunately the vehicle had to stay up there over night while the lug key was brought in from Ft. Collins.  We then made way back to camp for our annual steak dinner!

On Sunday Tracy & Marcy got the necessary parts and repaired the Runner…  In the mean time the rest of us took it back to the Wall…  It was definitely much more fun the second time around…  After shredding the first two rock obstacles, we made it to the launching pad and had some fun doing wheel stands!  We had lunch at the end of that portion of the trail.  We took an alternative route down (which ended up being one of the best sections of the trail!)  We busted back and got our camp broken down in record time!  What a trip…  Oh yea, did I mention that it snowed on us a good part to the trip?  That didn’t slow us down a bit!!!  I can remember a few of the best Edge trips were in the snow!  Cheers!  Chris…
